Manager Operations

Senior full-time position for Belgium

Reporting to the Country BU Leader, the Operations Manager is responsible for the operational excellence of the branches.
Implementing the Operational strategy of the Group within the Business Unit (BU).
Ensure the respect of the Group's rules and policies and deploy good practices, particularly in terms of safety and quality.
Managing the operational teams of the BU, across Erection and Dismantle, Service and Maintenance, and Technical functions.
The Operations Manager Is responsible for creating operational strategies to minimise stock losses, implementing initiatives to reduce company costs and increasing employee productivity.

Strategy

Contribute to the strategic analysis of the Group's activity in its territory: knowledge of the competition, evolution of the markets, value of the Group perceived by Its customers, market segmentation

Management of the BU's operational performance

  • Develop and manage the approved budget of the operations department.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with the application of the Group's operating processes, particularly with regard to stock management and depots
  • Analyse, synthesize and comment on the results obtained through the reports.
  • Implement & analyze  maintenance KPIs and communicate them to Country BU Leader
  • Carry out accurate budgetary control of the maintenance budget

Lead operational activities, In alignment with policies defined by the Business Unit Leader

  • Develop the operational action plan
  • Identify and anticipate key opportunities in the territory
  • Manage and optimize operations teams, service teams and associated administration teams.
  • Accompanying the field teams on site or at the construction site during technical disputes

Supervise the Operations; and Service activities

  • optimize the organization of technical activities and services
  • ensure that the management of the sub-contractors respects the policies and conditions demanded by the Group.
  • optimize the management of the physical assets of the BU: fleet of equipment, stocks, buildings
  • manage the allocation planning of the resources of the BU in order to optimize their use and profitability

Implement the Group’s safety, quality and ethics policies

  • Participation in the Evaluation Audits of the BU's situation, in relation to the Group's standards
  • Commitment In the implementation or corrective actions in order to progress
  • Ensure communication and training actions for staff, with the support of the Group
  • Guarantee the respect and discipline of everyone in the BU.
  • Formulates and ensures follow-up of HSE goals and objectives regarding accidents.
  • Ensures that all stakeholders within his organization clearly know what is expected of them in terms of HSE and they are evaluated on their HSE efforts and results à PDR documents.
  • Incorporates duties, responsibilities, and authority (TVB) related to HSE in a clear manner in all job descriptions of all managers.
  • Performs the number of HSE observations provided in the annual schedule.

People Development

  • Recruit, supervise, motivate, evaluate the team members, within the framework of the rules and policies defined by the Group's Human Resources, which Is also Involved In the recruitment and development of executives.
  • Ensure the respect of the rules of labour law, hygiene and safety for the employees of the BU
  • Communicate with teams and be the Interface with the Division

Manage administrative, legal and social Interfaces, locally at BU level

  • Assure local responsibility, established by delegation of the CEO
  • Engage the Group, according to the limits of the delegations of powers, In the operational domains (purchases, services, hiring, Investments) and report to Country BU leader
